Prince Harry says ‘I love my family’ in Good Morning America interview

Prince Harry has said he believes his father’s cancer diagnosis could “reunify” the royal family as he opens up about his father’s cancer diagnosis in a bombshell Good Morning America interview today.

In the Duke of Sussex’s interview with Will Reeve aired today, the Prince will open up about his life with Meghan and his father’s diagnosis.

He said: “Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

It is the first interview Harry has done since he flew over 5,000 miles to see Charles in London for a 30 minute meeting a day after the news of his diagnosis was made public.

In the interview, he says he “loved his family” and that he was “grateful” he was able to fly to the UK to see Charles after the news was made public.

“The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that,” the prince said.

Harry says he has several trips back to the UK planned

During his interview with Good Morning America, Prince Harry revealed that he has trips heading back to the UK planned.

“I have my own family. As we all do,” he said in his first interview since the King was diagnosed with cancer.

“So my family, and my life in California, is as it is. I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through or back to the UK so I’ll stop and see my family as much as I can.”

Last week, Harry’s fleeting trip to London drew the attention of media outlets internationally.

The duke cleared his schedule to fly over 5,000 miles from California to London to see his father for a meeting that lasted less than an hour.

He is also rumoured to be returning to the UK for the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Invictus Games at St Pauled Cathedral at the end of May.

Their interview with Good Morning America is believed to have taken place at the ski resort and is expected to air imminently.

Meghan defends new Sussex.com website as critics claim she and Harry ‘cashing in’ on royal links

The Duchess of Sussex has defended the rebranding of her and Prince Harry’s website as sussex.com after critics claimed the couple were cashing in on their royal links despite having quit as working royals.

The revamped site declares itself “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex”, and it also links to their former sussexroyal.com website – even though they agreed to stop using the “Sussex Royal” title in 2020 when they stepped down.

Some said the new sussex.com site and the earlier sussexroyal.com domain names were attempts to capitalise on their former royal status.

What time is Prince Harry’s Good Morning America interview and can I watch in the UK?

Prince Harry is set to discuss King Charles’s health in a television interview in the US for the first time since his father’s cancer diagnosis.

The Duke of Sussex is also due to talk about his life with Meghan and the Invictus Games in the Good Morning America interview on Friday.

The interview comes after a week of announcements from Harry and Meghan, who faced backlash after relaunching their Archewell website, the name of their foundation, as The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Buckingham Palace announced earlier this month that King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer and would be stepping back from public-facing duties.

Harry, who now lives in California, flew to the UK last week to see the King. He visited without Meghan and their two children, but he spent less than an hour seeing his father at Clarence House and there was no meeting with his brother, the Prince of Wales, during the trip.
