Second arrest made in connection to 2022 murder of former PRP basketball star

Days after warrants were issued for two men in connection to the murder of a former Louisville high school basketball star, a "significant arrest" has been made.Warrants were issued for Jeremiah Banks and Devin Watts, who were indicted last week for complicity to murder in the death of 34-year-old Vincent Crutcher.Watch previous coverage in the player up topThe two men were set to appear in court on Monday but didn't show up.Louisville Metro Police Department said on Friday, they, along with U.S. Marshals, arrested Banks in the 500 block of S 18th Street.Previous stories:Former PRP basketball star shot and killed near BuechelArrest warrants issued for 2 men charged in murder of former PRP basketball starPolice say Crutcher was killed on June 23, 2022 in the 4000 block of Heatherview Road.When officers arrived, they found him suffering from a gunshot wound. Crutcher was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died.Police say Banks is charged with murder and robbery.Banks is being held at Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.A third suspect in the case, Charvontae Reed, was arrested shortly after the shooting. His trial is set to begin in August.Watts remains at large.
