Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s (R) recent partisan speech, as reported in the Feb. 13 Metro article “Arena quarrels spill out to public,” made clear that he is the governor of Republicans, not the state of Virginia. It’s high time he stopped his partisan nonsense and acted like the governor of the entire state.

He wrongly claimed that “Democrats today do not believe in — nor do they want — a strong America.” It’s time he stopped parroting the playbook of so many right-wing Republicans. Perhaps he’s campaigning to be former president Donald Trump’s running mate.
