Woman survives after van carrying her two children rolls over her head in Linda Vista
The woman escaped with only a few minor injuries; she was reunited with sons after she was released from a hospital, officials said
A mother of two survived a potentially catastrophic accident when her van parked in Linda Vista rolled over her head in front of her two sons, San Diego police said.
Officers received a call around 8:05 a.m. that a woman was trapped underneath her van on Ulric Street near Osler Street, said Officer Darius Jamsetjee.
When first responders arrived, they learned that the van had not been properly parked and had rolled backward onto the woman working underneath it.
The trapped woman was freed and taken to a hospital after suffering minor injuries, Jamsetjee said.
Her children were attended to by officers until she was discharged from the hospital, officials said.
