"Pop the question before she switches teams again!" Paramount Movies has revealed an official trailer for a romantic comedy called French Girl, a Canadian feature about a distinctly Canadian problem - what if you move up to a new city and almost everyone there speaks French, and you don't. Adorable. Or as they say in French, adorablé. Gordon, a hopeless romantic, finds his proposal plans are thrown into chaos when his girlfriend is swept away to Quebec City by a job offer from her ex, a sophisticated celebrity chef. Determined to keep their love alive, Gordon leaves Brooklyn for her hometown, only to find himself hilariously out of his depth in attempting to charm her hard-to-impress, French-speaking family. Zach Braff stars with Evelyne Brochu as his girlfriend Sophie, plus Luc Picard, Antoine Olivier Pilon, Isabelle Vincent, Charlotte Aubin, Muriel Dutil, with William Fichtner and Vanessa Hudgens. This looks mildly amusing but definitely something to watch streaming not in theaters. The saucy ex-girlfriend twist is an interesting one.

Sweet Gordon (Zach Braff), an affable English teacher in Brooklyn, has beaten the odds; a French Girl has fallen in love with him and he's fallen even harder back. But their future is thrown into limbo when she interviews for an executive chef position in her hometown of Quebec City, Canada. There he finds himself hilariously out of his depth in attempting to charm her hard-to-impress, French-speaking family. To his dismay her future boss also happens to be her former lover, a celebrity Chef with oceanic eyes and a hit TV show. Good luck Gordon. French Girl is co-written and co-directed by Canadian actors turned filmmakers James A. Woods & Nicolas Wright, both making their feature directorial debut with this after lots of acting gigs previously. Produced by Valérie d'Auteuil and André Rouleau. Paramount will debut French Girl in select US theaters on March 15th, 2024, then on VOD starting March 19th, 2024. Anyone into this?
