To celebrate the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend, Curry Brand and “NBA Jam” are teaming up for a three-pack of sneakers invoking the classic video game.
Headlining the trio of Steph Curry‘s sneakers is the Curry 1 “Curry Jam,” which features a flame-covered upper nodding to the ability to catch on fire in-game. To match the scorching graphics, the two-tone midsole is split between red and orange and sits on contrast above an icy blue translucent outsole.
The “Curry Jam” edition of the Curry 4 takes a less obvious approach through a yellow, blue, and red color scheme. Rounding out the trio is the Curry Splash “Curry Jam,” which features a static print on the tongue and insole along with a black, turquoise, and pink color scheme all matching the original “NBA Jam” branding.
“All-Star Weekend brings the basketball community together to celebrate the culture around the game, and we wanted to create something special for that moment,” Nana Dadzie, director of Brand Marketing at Curry Brand, said in a press release. “With this ‘Curry Jam’ collection, we wanted to pay homage to the past, when arcade video games reigned supreme, and create a collection that brought the pops of color and fun graphics of that time to some of the best Curry Brand styles.”
A capsule of apparel borrowing graphics from the video game has also been made to complement the sneakers.
The “Curry Jam” collection released Friday through a “Curry’s Gameroom” activation at the Circle Center Mall in Indianapolis, and an online drop has not yet been announced. Pricing for the sneakers ranges from $100 to $150.
