Katy Hayes: Elderly and disabled will lose out as Dublin city centre traffic curtailed

The recently announced plan to curtail through traffic in Dublin city centre sounds good in theory – fewer cars belching up and down the quays, pedestrianisation of Parliament Street, civic plazas.
Accusations that this will choke access to the city centre for shoppers and socialisers were countered with the statement that there will still be access to the established car parks, except you will not be able to drive through the city easily.
