Friday, Feb. 16: Celebrate the Kweedom!
Kweendom: Enjoy a night of comedy that’s sure to make Mike Pence uncomfortable. It’s not just gay, it’s GAAAAAYYYYY. Gay like The B-52s are gay. Gay like Hocus Pocus is gay. Gay like Pee-Wee’s Playhouse is gay. Come for the laughs, stay for the fresh faces in your Grindr grid. Saturday, Feb. 17: Flowers, flowers everywhere!
La Maison du Chocolat Exclusive Valentine’s Day Experience: La Maison du Chocolat invites guests to a bookable “chocolate high tea” service that will mimic a French café experience. The service will last for two hours per session. The experience includes a decadent chocolate mousse cake, a romantic signature La Maison cake, an indulgent chocolate éclair, four different flavors macarons, four different flavors bonbons, La Maison du Chocolat signature hot chocolate, coffee and tea. The Orchid Show: Florals in Fashion: The Orchid Show brings the catwalk to the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory in a fashion-inspired celebration of all things orchids—and they want YOU at the center of the sartorial experience. This is your chance to “walk the runway” and show off your own personal flair, your love for orchids, and your fashion-forward connections to the natural world. Sunday, Feb. 18: Lunar New Year fun!
Black Future Festival: We Da People: Join the museum for a week of reflection and future-forward fun inspired by the national celebration of the African Diaspora and Black History Month. With guest curator, Kendra J. Bostock and STooPS, there will be workshops, dance performances, storytelling, and more. Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 145 Brooklyn Ave., Brooklyn. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. $15; free for members.
Lunar New Year at the Garden: Celebrate the Year of the Dragon at QBG! Enjoy the lion dance performance, music, crafts, and more. Queens Botanical Garden, 43-50 Main St., Queens. 12 — 4 p.m. Free Admission; $5 Suggested Donation.
