The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has opened booking of over 780 EWS flats in outer Delhi’s Narela area under its festival special housing scheme 2023. The flats, that have been put on sale, will be allotted on a First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis under the affordable segment category.
According to DDA officials, as many as 32,000 flats in the festival special housing scheme including luxury, mid-segment, and affordable housing categories will be offered in different phases and the latest booking for economically weaker section (EWS) flats is part of that scheme.
The festival special housing scheme 2023 was launched in November 2023 and the Authority has so far sold over 4,000 flats in a span of three months, officials have said.
Earlier in February 2024, the authority has conducted the first phase of e-auction of its premium flats including penthouses in Dwarka sector 19B.
“In the latest announcement, we have opened booking for 784 flats of EWS category. These flats are located in sectors A1 and A4 in Narela sub-city area. Registrations for these flats have started from February 15 and these flats will be offered on first come first serve basis. We hope to get good response for these affordable segment units as we had got for other categories in past,” a DDA official told Moneycontrol.
The prices of EWS flats will start from Rs 11.5 lakh. The DDA will also issue online system-generated demand letters.

The official added that interested people can apply for the scheme and buy a DDA flat even if they already own a house in Delhi. Earlier, people owning a house or apartment in Delhi were not allowed to participate in DDA housing schemes but this norm was changed by the authority in 2023 to boost sales of DDA flats.
The entire process -- from application to allotment and possession details -- will be done through the online mode at DDA website dda.gov.in/eservices.dda.org.in. Interested applicants will have to visit the official DDA website and log in using their PAN and other details. They can book a flat of their choice in preferred localities and floors instantly by paying the booking amount.
Prior to the festival special housing scheme 2023, the DDA had in July 2023 launched a housing scheme, offering 5,623 flats, and in 2021 the authority had offered 18,000 flats across different categories.
