Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif has been appointed as a brand ambassador for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the beloved Indian Premier League (IPL) team.The addition of Katrina Kaif to MS Dhoni’s CSK, the reigning champions going into the upcoming IPL 2024, will further increase the value of the franchise’s already enormous brand.

Katrina joined CSK after the company signed a sponsorship deal with Etihad Airways. The name of the popular airline will appear on the back of the yellow jersey.

The team also recently revealed their new jersey having the name of their new partners.

The five-time IPL Champions are reportedly planning to alter their logo ahead of the upcoming season of the high-octane tournament. CSK’s reputation as a reliable contender for the IPL crown is cemented by their 12 playoff wins in 14 seasons.

The MS Dhoni-led team and the Mumbai Indians (MI) share the record for the most title victories in the tournament’s history with five title each.

Meanwhile, in the December mini-auction, CSK selected Mustafizur Rahman, Rachin Ravindra, and Daryl Mitchell as their overseas players, while their Indian contingent were Shardul Thakur, Sameer Rizvi, and Avanish Rao Aravelly.

The dynamic duo of Gaikwad and Conway proved to be the main factor in CSK’s success in the 2023 Indian Premier League, as they produced a number of remarkable stands that helped the team win. Most notably, they showed against the Delhi Capitals that they could overpower even the strongest bowling attacks with their incredible 141-run partnership.

The middle order of the defending champions includes players like MS Dhoni, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ajinkya Rahane capable of turning any match around with their aggressive stroke play. With Dhoni’s unmatched finishing ability, Dube’s powerful hitting, and Jadeja’s capacity to perform well under pressure, CSK has a formidable batting order that intimidates their rivals.

In the IPL 2023, Dhoni and Dube had strike rates of 182.45 and 158.33, respectively. Ajinkya Rahane, who is often reserved, too scored runs at a strike rate of 172.48, while Ravindra Jadeja earned his runs at 142.85.

On the basis of a 66 run partnership between Harjas Singh and Ryan Hicks for the fourth wicket and Oliver Peake’s resistance in the final 10 overs of Australia’s innings and reached a total of 253/7.The Indian batting line-up had performed very well all through the tournament.

Opener Adarsh Singh showed some gritty determination as he held his ground early in the innings. But he did not get support from his fellow batsmen as wickets kept falling from the other end. Murugan Abhishek tried to fight back at the end of the Indian innings but it was not enough as the Indian team could only manage a total of Rs 174 runs.

This defeat against Australia marks the third consecutive loss against Australia in ICC Tournament finals. The Indian Test Team reached the finals as favourites as they had defeated Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.

But Travis Head brought an end to India’s hopes scoring a knock of 163 runs in the opening innings which proved to be the deciding factor in the final at Oval. Ajinkya Rahane tried his level best and put up a 71 run partnership along with Ravindra Jadeja but Australia’s 496 runs proved to be too much for the Indian batting lineup.
