At the end of his visit to Qatar on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the two countries’ friendship has gained “new vigour” and emphasized that India is eager to expand its collaboration with the Gulf state in important areas such as commerce, investment, technology, and culture.

“My visit to Qatar has added new vigour to the India-Qatar friendship. India looks forward to scaling up cooperation in key sectors relating to trade, investment, technology and culture. I thank the Government and people of Qatar for their hospitality,” Modi posted on his official X handle along with a 1:24 minute video wrap of his engagements in the Gulf country.
“Had a wonderful meeting with HH Sheikh @TamimBinHamad. We reviewed the full range of India-Qatar relations and discussed ways to deepen cooperation across various sectors. Our nations also look forward to collaborating in futuristic sectors which will benefit our planet,” he posted on X along with the photos of the meeting.
After a fast-paced visit of the United Arab Emirates, Modi arrived in Doha late on Wednesday. Among his many commitments there were speeches at the famous World Governments Summit, an event attended by a large number of Indian diasporans, and the opening of the country’s first Hindu stone temple.
