‘It is not going to be Lee Carsley’ – Shay Given weighs in on Ireland manager situation
Lee Carsley has been strongly link to the Ireland manager's job.
Shay Given has declared that his former teammate Lee Carsley won’t be taking the vacant Ireland job on this occasion.
The England U-21 boss remains the FAI’s top target to replace Stephen Kenny as head coach of the national team. But Given, who played 29 internationals with Carsley, believes the 49-year-old won’t assume the role this time around, although he didn’t rule him out of becoming Ireland boss in the future.
