Six Bicester students attended the Oxford Model United Nations held in St Anne's College.
The debate was joined by students from all over the world who travelled to Oxford to join the event.
Students from the Cooper School enjoyed a weekend (February 2 to 4) of lively discussion sitting in the COP28 Committee as Indonesia, UAE and the USA deliberated issues surrounding climate change and zero net emissions.
They also participated in training sessions on rules of procedure, public speaking workshops and a Q&A session with current Oxford University students.
A school spokesperson said: “Two of our students won awards for 'best delegate' in the COP28 Committee as awarded by the chairs of debate.
“It was fantastic to see students pushing themselves out of their comfort zones, honing their oracy skills, making new connections and working together to pass thoughtful resolutions on aforestation, carbon capture and improvement of public transport systems.”
