The parents of a four-year-old Wrexham fan have been 'blown away' after a gift was given by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Hollywood stars Reynolds and McElhenney have endeared themselves to fans since purchasing the Welsh club in 2020, and they were quick to hear the news of young Louis.

The four-year-old suffers from TUBA1A, a genetic condition that causes spasms, mobility problems, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy.

Wrexham owners Reynolds and McElhenney left the parents and avid Dragons fans, Aaron and Charlotte Perrin, stunned.

Reynolds and McElhenney donated £10,000 on their JustGiving page, leaving the message: "Up the town, young man."

The family is seeking to transform their home to be able to adapt to their son's needs. 

"Our home is becoming more and more unsuitable without being adapted. We cannot borrow the amount of money needed, so we ask for your help to support Just4Children," they wrote.

"Currently, the need for constant support in the home, has a detrimental effect on Louis's happiness; he is frustrated by his dependence on others; he can not access his bedroom, move around, and play like his brother and friends.

"By helping fund adaptations, you are helping Louis stay in a safe and happy home with our family."

After spotting the donation from the Wrexham owners, Aaron, a headteacher, was left shocked at the generosity.
