Detectives seeking answers 2 years after body dumped on the side of the freeway

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information surrounding the death of Abram Santos, 37, whose body was found on the side of a freeway in 2022

Homicide detectives are still seeking answers in the death of a 37-year-old man whose body was dumped on the side of a freeway in San Diego’s Mountain View neighborhood two years ago.

The body of Abram Santos, 37, was found just after 5 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2022, along southbound Interstate 805 near the 43rd Street off-ramp. Police said he had suffered apparent trauma to his upper body. Authorities have not revealed his cause of death.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying suspect(s) responsible for the murder of Abram Santos.

Detectives believe Santos was killed elsewhere and his body was moved to that location. They have been unable to determine why he was killed.

No other information was immediately available.

“We have interviewed several potential witnesses or persons who may have information on the case, but we still have not identified a suspect or clearly defined motive,” said Lt. Steve Shebloski in an email.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
