YVSC staffer appointed to state EV board

Gov. Jared Polis annouced new appointements this week to statewide boards and commissions, including the appointment of Paul Bony of Steamboat Springs to the Community Success Enterprise Board to serve as a representative of an organization that supports electric alternatives to motor vehicles.

Bony, who works as the energy and transportation director for nonprofit Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, also serves on the Colorado Geo-Powering the West statewide working group. He has 25 years of experience in planning, implementing, marketing and evaluating energy efficiency, demand-side management, renewable energy and consumer product programs.

Bony also has served on the Electric Power Research Institute’s Demand Side Management Advisory Committee, Cooperative Research Network’s End Use Solutions Advisory Group, California Utility Energy Forum Steering Committee, International Ground Source Heat Pump Association’s Board and Montrose Economic Development Corporation’s Board of Directors. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Kansas State University and an MBA from University of Nevada, Reno.
