Sample ballot available for Minturn’s April election

Minturn’s municipal election is coming up on April 2, 2024, when voters will elect a mayor and four Town Council members. The mayor serves a two-year term, while the contested council seats consist of one two-year term and three four-year terms.

A sample ballot is posted on Minturn.org, and candidate profiles will be added soon.

In-person voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at Minturn Town Hall (302 Pine St.). If you wish to vote early or cannot vote in person on election day, you must complete an absentee ballot application and submit it no later than Friday, March 29. The actual absentee “ballot” can be turned in up until 7 p.m. on Election Day. If you are mailing your ballot, please note that it must be received (not postmarked) by Election Day on April 2.

Absentee ballot applications are available now. Absentee ballots will be mailed on March 11 (for any applications received), and can be mailed back or submitted in person at Minturn Town Hall (but must be received by the deadline). Anyone requesting an absentee ballot application after March 11 can still do so in person and the ballot will be issued upon receipt of the application. Absentee ballots cannot be issued until an application has been made. Residents may download the application for an absentee ballot at Minturn.org

In preparation for the election, Minturn residents are officially invited to the 2024 Minturn Candidate Forum. Join the town and its candidates on Tuesday, March 5 at 5:30 p.m. The forum will provide an opportunity to learn more about our candidates and offer a chance to ask questions.
