WATERBURY – Lucy Frances DeLorenzo, 68, died Feb. 10, 2024.
Lucy was born Dec. 10, 1955, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late John and Lois (Beardmore) DeLorenzo. Lucy lived in Waterbury all of her life and she retired from the United States Postal Service.
Lucy is survived by her son, Francis Bonacassio Jr.; her grandsons, Anthony Ferraiolo, Stephen Sorbo and Kayden Sorbo; her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lucy was predeceased by her son, Stephen J. Sorbo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave., Waterbury. Everyone attending is kindly asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
