IRCTC Q3 net profit rises 17% to Rs 300 crore

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has reported net profit of Rs 300 crore for the December quarter of FY24, a growth of 17.4 percent from Rs 255.5 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue increased 21.8 percent on year to Rs 1,118.3 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing on February 13.

IRCTC is the catering and ticketing arm of the Indian Railways, which manages food services on trains and offers online ticket booking services.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBIDTA) for the quarter was at Rs 394 crore growing by 20.9 percent. EBIDTA margin was at 35.2 percent compared to 35.5 percent YOY.

On February 13, shares of IRCTC closed 1.19 percent higher at Rs 910.80 on BSE.
