A transgender woman in Belfast has said she often feels like a “zoo animal” while working in the hospitality industry.

Caitlin Wickham (23), who was born in Canada but has lived in the west of the city for the past 12 years, has spoken about her experience working in bars and hotels since she began transitioning two years ago, noting the “stark contrast” pre and post-transition.
