    What's the story

It is common to experience fatigue in the morning when your mind shifts from sleep to wakefulness. However, despite a seemingly adequate night's rest, if the grogginess persists, it is best to understand the core reasons behind your morning fatigue. The reasons behind morning fatigue can be as diverse as they are perplexing. Let us unravel some of the common reasons.

    Reason 1

    Blue light exposure

Artificial lighting often emits blue light, which inhibits the release of melatonin, a hormone that aids in circadian rhythm regulation. It makes it more difficult for you to obtain a good night's sleep, which leaves you feeling exhausted in the morning. Cut down your screen time, especially before bed. Keep your phone away an hour or two before you plan to sleep.

    Reason 2

    Anxiety

It can take a lot of energy to feel depressed or anxious. These circumstances may also have an adverse effect on how long it takes you to fall asleep and whether or not you wake up during the night. Furthermore, drugs used to treat anxiety or depression can occasionally have negative side effects like sleeplessness or disturbances to deeper sleep stages.

    Reason 3

    Sleep disorders

Movement disorders that occur before or during sleep are conditions that make it difficult to fall asleep or stay asleep. One common condition that causes breathing to stop intermittently while you sleep is sleep apnea, which is commonly obstructive sleep apnea. You might also experience insomnia, characterized by difficulty falling asleep, waking up too early, or frequent awakenings during the night.

    Reason 4

    Poor sleeping environment

Numerous factors can influence the quality of sleep in your bedroom. To start, the temperature of your room plays a major role in how well you sleep, so try using a cooling mattress or lowering the air conditioning to create a more comfortable sleeping environment. Similarly, sleeping on the wrong mattress can lead to soreness and stiffness of the body parts while waking up.

    Reason 5

    Sedentary lifestyle

Sedentary lifestyles can cause your body to become accustomed to using low amounts of energy, which can lead to feelings of exhaustion when attempting to perform regular tasks. Some common habits include having too much caffeine during the day, consuming alcohol before bed, long daytime naps and inconsistent sleeping schedule. These habits can disrupt your sleep, increasing your likelihood of waking up tired.
