A burst of snow forecast for early Tuesday led to some school districts across the region to announce closings and delayed starts.

The Capital Weather Gang predicts that rain tonight will turn heavy before mixing with and changing to snow. North and west of Interstate 95 in particular, a coating to an inch or two may fall.
