Frontier Airlines grows Charlotte hub, launching Cincinnati nonstop. Service begins May 16, low fares at $19. New route part of larger expansion.
Frontier Airlines is once again broadening its horizons from Charlotte’s hub, introducing a fresh nonstop route to the Cincinnati area, as declared by the airline on Tuesday.
The airline will facilitate travel between Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport four times weekly. This new service, offered by the Denver-headquartered budget airline, is set to commence on May 16, featuring introductory offers as affordable as $19, revealed in a press statement by Frontier.
This marks another expansion of Frontier’s services from CLT, following last month’s announcement of new flights to seven additional locations, encompassing six cities within the U.S. and one Caribbean destination.
In the previous year, Charlotte Douglas set new records in passenger numbers, with 53.4 million travelers flying from the airport.
Moreover, Charlotte’s airport earned a spot as the seventh most active airport globally in terms of arrivals and departures, based on the 2022 preliminary data from the Airport Council International.
