Super Bowl 2024 live: Taylor Swift and Blake Lively star in stands as Travis Kelce’s Chiefs win in overtime
Pop star was ecstatic as her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his team the Kansas City Chiefs beat San Francisco 49ers in a nail-biting game... but Kelce has sparked controversy after what has been deemed an ‘unacceptable’ act
Usher celebrated both his past and present when he headlined the Super Bowl 2024 halftime show tonight (11 February) at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
The R&B singer headlined the musical extravaganza with a troupe of dancers and special guests, performing some of his biggest hits from the past two decades, in between one of the most nail-biting games in recent memory.
Taylor Swift was there with friends including Blake Lively and Lana Del Rey to cheer on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, as his team beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime. The pair shared a romcom-worthy kiss after the Chiefs scored a touchdown and won the game.
Meanwhile, Del Rey “trampled on” after being knocked over while the VIP guests celebrated the Chiefs’ victory, which was attended by other famous faces including Sir Paul McCartney and Leonardo DiCaprio.
It was a successful night for the Chiefs – and Swift’s PR machine – but Kelce has faced criticism after shoving his Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid in a furious exchange.
The Taylor Swift machine is completely inescapable – is it a recipe for disaster?
Between albums, tours, concert films, Grammys, awards shows, Travis Kelce, and her alleged wooing by the Biden campaign, the singer-songwriter has been absorbed into every facet of modern life. It’s impossible to get away from her, writes Katie Rosseinsky, and doing no one – including Swift herself – any favours

What’s the verdict on Usher’s performance? The reviews are in...
In his review for The Independent, critic Mark Beaumont described Usher’s halftime show as “a fun, half-memorable mess”, praising the spectacle of roller-skating dancers but suggesting it failed to meet its potential.
“Despite the soft-centred smoothness of his opening R&B segment (‘Caught Up’, ‘U Don’t Have to Call’, a snippet of ‘Superstar’), he’s left a bit breathless by a bout of gentle grooving with his cane-twirling sidekicks,” the review said.
“None of his tunes land anything like a touchdown and, for something so monstrous of budget, the whole thing starts to feel underwhelmingly cabaret.”
