Chasing Aces Golf breaks ground on sports entertainment venue in Bossier City

Bossier City was buzzing with excitement Friday morning when Chasing Aces Golf broke ground on the newest entertainment attraction in northwest Louisiana.

"This development will provide another attraction for visitors to the Shreveport-Bossier area," said Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser. "I commend northwest Louisiana for its investment in this new attraction, which will bring another family-friendly entertainment facility and also help grow the game of golf in Louisiana."

Chasing Aces Golf is a sports entertainment complex that is combining golf with a fun, family atmosphere.

The planned $25 million development will span 27 acres and will be home to a multi-level driving range with 30 bays, similar to the popular Top Golf franchise, but with more amenities and dining options.

The complex also will feature a nine-hole Smart Course and an 18-hole putting course, designed in collaboration with the Arnold Palmer Design Team.

"The level of entertainment that we're bringing here is going to be a national brand," said John Dudley, Chasing Aces CEO and founder. "A national brand wouldn't come here. So, we will birth one. We will bring one to the world."

This entertainment complex has been in the works for several years, and with the help of BRF's Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program.

"Our EAP team, led by Dave Smith, has worked with John Dudley of Chasing Aces from the idea stage to shovels in the ground today," BRF President and CEO John F. George said. "John and his team have accomplished a major feat, and we congratulate them on their success."

This entertainment complex will be next to the Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City, near the city's riverfront.
