Mark Thomson joins Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky

Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky has named Mark Thomson as private client manager. In the new role, Thomson will oversee the company’s cask sales and its portfolio of high-end and rare whiskies. Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky holds one of the world’s largest collections of vintage and rare whiskies.
 
Having started in hospitality, Thomson’s career developed into drinks education, researching whisky history and hosting monthly tastings for hundreds of whisky fans. 
 
Thomson joins Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky from Glenfiddich where he held the role of brand ambassador for 10 years, for which he won Brand Ambassador (Scotch Whisky) of the Year in the World Whisky Awards 2023. He was inducted as a Keeper of the Quaich in 2019.
 
Speaking on his new role, Thomson said: “The phenomenal wealth of whiskies from across every region in Scotland that Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky has within its broad portfolio is what drew me to the job. I’m looking forward to showcasing these rare and luxurious liquids to many existing and new customers, both here in Scotland and across the globe.”
