The Lincoln Police Department on Monday identified the 64-year-old man who was killed while crossing a street Friday night.
Steven Keith, of Lincoln, was on a median near north 27th Street and Old Dairy Road at about 7:15 p.m. A driver was traveling north on 27th Street when they collided with Keith, according to the crash report.
The driver told police he had seen Keith on the median, passed him, and heard a thud against his car.
Keith was not at a designated crosswalk area.
A witness at the scene said they saw Keith get hit by the car and roll behind the vehicle.
Keith was taken to Bryan West Campus and died from his injuries, police say.
According to the crash report, there was no suspicion of alcohol or drugs from the driver, and no citations were issued.
