The Young Adult Job Fair returns to Greeley March 27 at Island Grove Event Center, 501 N. 14th Ave.
The event, presented annually by the city of Greeley and Employment Services of Weld County, will run from 5-7 p.m., according to a city release.
It is a free event specifically catered to young adults — ages 14 to 24 — who are looking for opportunities in the Weld County Workforce.
“The Young Adult Job Fair is a great place to take that step into the workforce,” Business Services Manager for Weld County Department of Human Services Andrew Chadwick said. “There are always a great variety of employers represented, so there’s a little something for everyone in terms of the work thats offered. Plus, there are full-time, part-time and seasonal options, so there’s often a good connection to whatever type of commitment you’re looking for.”
Attendees have the chance to meet with businesses that are hiring, build their resumes, take professional headshots and more. Employers can speak with motivated applicants who are eager to take early steps in their careers.
Chadwick said it is a good idea to bring copies of a current resume — both to leave for employers and to potentially improve for future opportunities. He also recommends attendees have their social security number ready for quick registration.
People planning to attend can pre-register at connectingcolorado.com. Employers can register at snapappointments.com/listing/5yd. For more information about Employment Services of Weld County, go to eswc.org.
