Driver succumbed at scene following crash on Highway 242

A driver was killed early Sunday morning on southbound Highway 242 following a two-car crash on Feb. 11, 2024.

Police are investigating a two-car crash that killed a driver Sunday morning on southbound Highway 242 near Concord.

CHP responded to the call about the crash around 7:36 a.m. south of Clayton Road.
Investigators say a BMW SUV and Ford sedan – with one occupant each – collided and the driver of the Ford was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The BMW driver was not injured.
