Dry start to the work week, rain returns Wednesday

A few scattered showers linger Monday morning but give way to afternoon sunshine.

PORTLAND, Oregon — Portland reached a high of 58 degrees on Sunday, far above average for February. 50-degree temperatures will continue through the start of the work week. Skies will dry out Monday and give way to some beautiful sunshine in the afternoon. Tuesday should also be dry and fairly sunny.

The mountains could see some light snow showers round 5,000 feet, mainly impacting ski resorts. Passes could see a fresh inch or two in the next day.

Rain returns Wednesday and high temperatures drop into the mid 40's for the valley. Expect that system to bring some snow to the Cascades and central Oregon.

Hope you enjoyed Super Bowl Sunday!
