'Journalist by day, terrorist by night': IDF reveals about Al Jazeera reporter working as 'Hamas leader'

Israel has accused a Palestinian journalist associated with Al Jazeera of being a senior commander in Hamas’ military wing.
The allegations are based on pictures and documents shared by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF). Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, the Israeli military’s Arabic language spokesperson, said that the evidence against Muhammad Washah was retrieved from a laptop found in the northern Gaza Strip.

How was the evidence retrieved?
The details of Washah’s involvement with Hamas came to light during one of IDF’s raids in Hamas camps in north Gaza several weeks ago.
“It is clear from the documents that Muhammad Wishah is a prominent commander in the anti-armor missile system in the wing. Hamas military,” Lt Adraee said adding that by the end of 2022, Wishah moved to work for Hamas Air Force.

An investigation into the laptop revealed pictures linking the journalist to activities within the Hamas.
“Who knows how many details we will reveal about the presence of other terrorists in journalistic garb in the near future,” Washah said.
Who is Muhammad Washah?
Washah, born in 1986, has been featured in recent broadcasts from Al Jazeera. The Qatar-based news channel has confirmed Washah’s association with it, according to Times of Israel.
Last month, two other Al Jazeera journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike and were later confirmed by the IDF as being members of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror groups.
