Franklin, NC – Gene Robertson Gunn, Sr., 76, Passed Away 1/25/2024
A native of Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Joseph and Donelle Scurry Gunn.
Gene was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Gene was a Basalt resident for over thirty years and split his time between Basalt and Honolulu where he was a successful restaurateur. He was an active fresh and salt water fisherman and will be sorely missed by the staff at The Taylor Creek fly shop as well as his many fishing buddies. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, caregiver, golf partner, humorist, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Ehrens Gunn of Franklin, NC where they re -located to a few years ago. Son, Gene Gunn, Jr. and wife Melissa and grandsons, Benjamin Gunn and Max Gunn. His second wife Jena Gunn and their daughter, Amanda Gunn and her partner Eric.
