Mallikarjun Kharge says Modi has finished jawan, kisan, yet to issue notification to repeal three farm laws
Modi government suspended the three farm laws to end the protest. He added that if the Centre fails to repeal the farm laws, the Congress will remove these laws if voted to power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has finished jawan (soldiers), and kisan (farmers) in his ten years of tenure. Addressing a rally in Punjab’s Ludhiana, Kharge slammed the Modi government and said the Centre suspended three farm laws but the notification to repeal them has not come yet.
Kharge, in a scathing attack, said the Modi government suspended the three farm laws to end the protest. He added that if the Centre fails to repeal the farm laws, the Congress will remove these laws if voted to power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the Punjab Congress Workers Convention, Kharge hit out at the Centre over the situation of farmers and soldiers in the country. The Congress chief said that Punjab was the only state in the country where late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri’s slogan Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan fits best. Kharge further added saying Punjab has given the country both kisan and jawan but it is unfortunate that the Modi government has finished them both.
Meanwhile, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have announced the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 13 to press several demands.
The Haryana Police has released a traffic advisory asking people to stay off the state’s key roads unless necessary.
Section 144 has been enforced in Panchkula to maintain law and order before the demonstration.
In light of the farmers’ march, the Delhi Police is likewise extremely vigilant, and strict security is in place throughout Delhi’s entire border.
The purpose of the march, according to the farmers’ organisations Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, is to put pressure on the Central government to abide by several requests, chief among them being the passing of legislation guaranteeing a minimum support price (MSP) for crops.
The Delhi Police have begun preparations and have stationed large cranes and containers at the borders to stop farmers from Punjab and Haryana from reaching the Delhi border.

PM Modi says education system based on Indian values need of the hour
PM Modi emphasizes the need for an education system based on Indian values during an event commemorating Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s birth anniversary.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the time has come for an Indian values-based educational system. He was speaking at the occasion of Arya Samaj founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s 200th birth anniversary at Tankara, his birthplace in Gujarat’s Morbi district.
PM Modi praised the social reformer who, at a period when the nation was engulfed in superstitions and people were forced into slavery, had demanded that Indian civilization return to the Vedas.
The time has come for an education system based on Indian values. This has been centered in Arya Samaj schools. Nowadays, the National Education Policy is helping the nation to grow it. Linking society to these endeavors is our duty, Prime Minister Modi said.
The PM added, Swami Dayanand Saraswati was born during a period when social problems and slavery were commonplace among Indians.
Swami Dayanandji then addressed the nation, explaining how our scientific thinking had been undermined by the doctrine and superstitions that had taken hold of the nation. Our cohesiveness had been undermined by these social problems, PM Modi explained.
A segment of the population was steadily turning away from Indian spirituality and culture. Swami Dayanandji advocated going back to the Vedas during such times, he remarked.
Maharshi Dayanand, according to the PM, was not only a world sage, but also a sage of national consciousness. At a time when the British rulers tried to make our people look inferior by using our social evils as a pawn and their rule was justified by some people citing social evils, the arrival of Dayanand Saraswati shocked such conspirators, he said.
According to Prime Minister Modi, the occasion would serve as a significant means of introducing the younger generation to the teachings of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati.
The Prime Minister said that he was lucky to have been born in Gujarat, the birthplace of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, and to have a close familiarity with Haryana due to his work there, referring to the state as his karmabhoomi.
