WOLCOTT – Agnes Bridget Wihbey, beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her devoted husband Gary; her loving children Jeffrey (and Kelly) of Glastonbury, and Caroline of Waterbury; her cherished grandchildren Brennan, Brie, Kaitlyn, and Jonathan Jude (JJ); her beloved brother Kevin and sister-in-law Holly; and she was predeceased by her dear parents Thomas F. Brennan Jr. and Elizabeth (Betty McGurk) Brennan.
Bridget’s love for her family was unwavering and unconditional. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her role as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, and aunt, nurturing her family with love, kindness, and wisdom.
Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her delicious cooking … creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
In addition to her family, Bridget had a passion for playing cribbage. She enjoyed the strategic challenges of the game and the camaraderie it brought with friends and family at the Farmingbury Hills League. Her competitive spirit and quick wit made every game a joyous occasion filled with laughter and friendly banter. She also loved painting.
Bridget’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, strength, and Irish spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Funeral will be Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to Our Lady of Lebanon Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be Monday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
