REDDING – Dr. Eleanor J. Staley, 82, passed away on Feb. 5, 2024, after a year of battling lung cancer.
Ellie grew up in Schenectady, N.Y., and practiced podiatry in Tucson, Ariz. for many years.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Alfred Savaikis and Dr. Robert Hamilton.
Ellie is survived by children Sharon Hollenstein (Valentin) of Switzerland, and Mark Savaikis (Marilyn) of Wallingford; grandchildren Maya, Anja and Sasha; great-grandchildren Gianna Fadrina, Marulina, Colton and Addison; siblings James Staley of Lativa, Barbara Lenta (Edward) of South Carolina, and Eileen Kane of New Jersey.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and her faithful dog Harry.
At Ellie’s request, there will be no services and in lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity.
