McCall, Idaho – John Edward Park, Jr., 77, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2023 in McCall, Idaho. Born January 6, 1946, John was the son of John Edward Park and Leone Hoffman Park. He attended Pembroke Country Day School (now Pembroke Hill School), graduating in 1964. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas before attending the Veterinary School of Medicine at the University of Missouri.
John moved to Vail, Colorado and opened a Veterinary Clinic to pursue his life long passion of caring for animals. After several decades in Vail, John moved to McCall Idaho to continue his practice of veterinary medicine. He was a member of Rotary Club and enjoyed numerous civic involvements in McCall. He never met an animal he didn’t like and always had at least one and quite often two Dobermans living with him. The people of McCall remember him fondly.
John leaves behind a sister, Daisy Park MacDonald (husband John MacDonald), a nephew Thatcher MacDonald and niece Daisy MacDonald Selman (husband Andrew Selman), and a great nephew and niece Noah Selman and Daisy Leone Selman.
The family suggests that memorial contributions can be made to the Pembroke Hill School, 400 West 51st Street, Kansas City, MO.
