Shooter on the loose, man found with gunshot injury in Raleigh neighborhood

A shooter is on the run after a man was shot early Sunday morning in a Raleigh neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Cooper Road shortly after midnight.

Responding officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect is not in custody. This is an ongoing investigation.
