Tesco Extra in Abingdon remains closed today (Sunday, February 11) due to flooding.
The store, in Marcham Road, announced a sudden, temporary closure yesterday (Saturday, February 10) as flood water began to encroach over the car park.
Customer deliveries were cancelled, even for some residents in Didcot as they are served from the Abingdon store.
Tesco’s website still incorrectly lists the store as currently open. The customer service team said they hope to reopen tomorrow.
The store was forced to close in identical fashion early last month too, as flood water filled and rose over the car park. Diversions were put in place, with over 780 customer orders cancelled at short notice.
Nine flood warnings are in place for Oxfordshire today, with 38 flood alerts in place for the wider area.
