Once again, Lincoln East will have a strong contingent at the state wrestling tournament.
The Spartans qualified 11 wrestlers at the A-2 district meet Saturday at Creighton Prep. East won three consecutive weights: Joshua Shaner (126 pounds), Scottie Meier (132) and Noah Ingwerson (138).
A-3 at Grand Island: Lincoln Southwest's Will Manning pinned North Platte's in the 165-pound final, securing his spot along with eight of his Silver Hawk teammates. Lincoln High qualified three.
A-4 at Millard West: Lincoln Southeast's 285-pounder Cooper Johnson pinned Millard West's Logan Johnson in 37 seconds in the championship match. Johnson is one of five state-bound Knights.
B-1 at McCook: Lincoln Christian's Luke Farmen won by a 10-6 decision against Lexington's Daylen Naylor in the first-place match at 126 pounds. Farmen is one of six state-bound Crusaders.

B-2 at York: Waverly won the team title and will send a whopping 12 athletes to the state meet. The Vikings dominated the district meet with eight titles — Grey Klucas (106), Royce Klucas (113), Hunter Jacobsen (120), Garrison Brehm (132), Brayden Canoyer (138), Trev Greve (144), Garrett Rine (150) and Drew Moser (175).
B-3 at GI Northwest: Norris qualified four to state, including 190-pounder Rylan Schoenbeck and 215-pounder Eric Hall, who both finished second.
B-4 at Aurora: Beatrice had four winners — Talon Beldin (106), Cole Karlin (120), Tristan Reinke (132) and Merrick Johnson (175) — and qualified seven total. Wahoo qualified six.
C-1 at Thayer Central: Malcolm had two qualifiers, and both won their weights — Cody Barton (113) and Bricen Wilkie (157).
C-2 at Boone Central: Milford, Bishop Neumann and Raymond Centrall all qualified five wrestlers for state. Milford's Sean Stanton dominated the 144-pound title match, winning by tech. fall, 17-2. Bishop Neumann's Trent Moudry won the title at 190.
