Italian fashion house Brunello Cucinelli recently celebrated the continued success of its Montagna Collection of stylish winter wear with a weekend in Aspen, hosted in tandem with Net-a-Porter and Mr. Porter, which have been the exclusive wholesalers for the label for the past ten years. Brunello Cucinelli has had a store in Aspen since 2012 at 508 East Cooper Avenue.
The three brands assembled an action-packed, two-day outing here last month to mark the moment of Brunello Cucinelli’s first women’s ski collection and the second season for its men’s ski collection. Notable guests were brought to town and outfitted in the winter white-themed looks of the Montagna Collection, including: actors Laura Harrier and Morgan Spector, models Emily DiDonato and Meadow Walker, stylist Dex Robinson, and NFL player Tyrod Taylor. Serving as the hospitable hosts, Alison Loehnis (Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter president), Carolina Cucinelli (Brunello Cucinelli’s co-president and co-creative director), and Alessio Piastrelli (Brunello Cucinelli’s men’s creative director) led the charge in honoring the decade-long alliance.
For the Mountain Escape Weekend, day one kicked off with a cozy cabin dinner on Aspen Highlands at Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro with snowcat transport each way. Day two started with a guided snowshoe tour through the Hunter Creek Valley, followed by an al fresco picnic at Aspen Center of Environmental Studies’ Hallam Lake preserve. That night, a larger group comprising clients, press, and VIPs were invited to a cocktail party at Casa Tua where Carolina Cucinelli welcomed all and spoke to the intent to “bring a feeling of our company” to Aspen, bridging the Italian Alps with the Rocky Mountains for a fashionable, fun few days.
