Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, a key player in IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle collection, is excited to unveil Kimpton Santo as the name of its debut hotel in San Antonio, with plans to welcome guests by the end of 2024. Visit Kimpton Santo for more details.
Owned and managed by White Lodging, the hotel proudly announces the appointment of Lynn Snyder as General Manager and Jeremy Lander as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Kimpton Santo’s name is deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage of San Antonio, echoing the city’s patron, Saint Anthony, and the historical significance of the site. This 10-story, 347-room hotel artfully integrates several structures from a 19th-century German-English schoolhouse into its contemporary design, offering a unique blend of history and luxury.
Leadership at Kimpton Santo
Lynn Snyder, with a 15-year tenure at White Lodging and experience in opening seven hotels nationwide, steps in as General Manager. She recently led the Aloft & Element Austin Downtown and initiated a hospitality junior business council in Austin, promoting community service and professional growth in the hospitality industry.
Jeremy Lander joins as Director of Sales and Marketing with over two decades of experience in hospitality sales, including significant roles at Omni Hotels & Resorts. He is tasked with steering sales, marketing, and event strategies for Kimpton Santo.
Location and Design
Located at 423 S. Alamo, Kimpton Santo is poised between San Antonio’s vibrant arts scene and business district, bridging the gap between Downtown and Southtown. The hotel marries historical architecture with contemporary design, offering a sophisticated blend of vintage and modern elements inspired by Spanish decor.
Kimpton Santo is set to become an integral part of San Antonio, offering a mix of new construction and thoughtful adaptation of historical buildings. “We’re thrilled to introduce Kimpton Santo as a pivotal project in San Antonio, combining innovative design and exceptional service,” Snyder remarked.
The hotel features 347 elegantly designed rooms, including 16 suites, and over 13,000 square feet of versatile event space. Guests can enjoy the unique experience of staying in one of the eight schoolhouse suites, offering a blend of historical charm and modern luxury.
Culinary Experience
Kimpton Santo will host a variety of dining options, from a high-end steakhouse and oyster bar to a cozy cocktail lounge and a rooftop bar, providing stunning city views and a luxurious open-air rooftop experience. The incorporation of historic elements into the dining venues adds to the unique ambiance of the hotel.
As part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family, Kimpton Santo is at the forefront of redefining luxury lifestyle hospitality in San Antonio. The collaborative efforts of Kimpton, White Lodging, and their partners underscore the commitment to creating an unmatched hotel experience, reflecting the soul and spirit of San Antonio.
