Wallace-Rose Hill RB Irving Brown offered by App State

A school from the Sun Belt Conference has offered a standout running back from one of North Carolina's top 2A football programs.
Wallace-Rose Hill junior running back Irving Brown took to his X account to announce that he's received a verbal offer from Appalachian State University.
NC Central University became the first school to offer Brown back in May.
Brown is listed at 5-foot-10 and 193 pounds. He reports a 40-yard dash time of 4.56. He also plays some defensive back.
The rusher has played on the Bulldogs' varsity team since his sophomore year. He has eclipsed 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns in each of his two varsity seasons.
Brown rushed for 1,696 yards and 23 touchdowns on 182 carries in his junior season this past fall. He also caught 12 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns.
Over his varsity career, Brown has accumulated 3,694 yards from scrimmage and 57 total touchdowns.
A multi-sport athlete, Brown is currently averaging 8.8 points-per-game on Wallace-Rose Hill's basketball team.
The Bulldogs' football team finished the 2023 season with an 8-4 overall record and as the East Central Conference champions. Wallace's season was ended by Hertford County in the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 2A East playoffs.
