Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(Rs. 543.23 crore), NHPC(Rs. 263.35 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 247.84 crore), RIL(Rs. 237.47 crore), Max Healthcare(Rs. 223.37 crore), SBI(Rs. 197.87 crore), Indian Railway Fin(Rs. 193.03 crore), Zomato(Rs. 170.15 crore), LIC(Rs. 165.99 crore) and Tata Power(Rs. 161.00 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 64.55 points up at 21782.5, while BSE Sensex rose 167.06 points to 71595.49.

In the Nifty index, Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 5.41 per cent), State Bank of India(up 3.68 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 3.32 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.35 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 2.17 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.35 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.06 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.92 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.82 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
