South winds helped pump our warmth up another notch today. Highs in the mid-60s in many spots are about 15 degrees above average. We’ve got another warm one tomorrow before a cold front sinks through for the back half of the weekend. Our dry spell is also about to come to a close.

Tomorrow (Saturday): Another warm one, possibly the warmest of the bunch, with highs in the mid-60s in many spots. It’s rather cloudy, and a shower or two may be around in the afternoon.

Sunday: We’re behind a weak front that draws cooler air in out of the north. That means highs are more like low to mid-50s vs. what is seen tomorrow. There’s a better chance of rain compared to Saturday, but it should be light and occasional locally. It will be a bit heavier and steadier as you head south of the city.

Monday-Tuesday: A storm is still on track to hit us Monday into Tuesday. The center is slated to pass quite close to the area. This should allow for a soaking in most of the area. At least an inch of rain seems like a good bet. The storm can still end with a period of wet snow, especially northwest of Interstate 95. It shouldn’t amount to anything more than perhaps a quick dusting on grassy surfaces. The storm winds down early Tuesday before slamming southern New England with snow.
