Sapphire Foods Q3: KFC operator's net profit down 73% at Rs 9 crore

The company's revenue came in at Rs 665.5 crore, up 11.6 percent from the year-ago period.

Sapphire Foods on February 9 reported net profit at Rs 9 crore for the December quarter of FY24, registering a decline of 72.7 percent from Rs 33 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Total revenue of the KFC and Pizza Hut operator came in at Rs 665.5 crore, up 11.6 percent from Rs 596.1 crore in the year-ago quarter, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBIDTA) for the quarter was at Rs 121.6 crore growing by 4.3 percent. EBIDTA margin was at 18.3 percent compared to 19.6 percent YOY.

Ms. Priya Adiseshan has been appointed as the Chief People Officer (Senior Management Personnel) of Sapphire Foods India Limited, with effect from February 9, 2024.

Shares of Sapphire Foods were tradingĀ 3.28 percent higher at RsĀ 1402.45 on BSE at 2 pm.
