Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Friday's session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 167.06 points up at 71595.49 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Alufluoride Ltd(down 16.44 per cent), ESAF Small Finance(down 16.33 per cent), Trigyn Tech(down 14.74 per cent), CG-VAK Software(down 13.83 per cent) and AstraZeneca(down 13.03 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

In the Nifty pack, 27 stocks closed in the green, while 23 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 64.55 points up at 21782.5.

On the BSE, ESAF Small Finance, IKIO Lighting, Shreeji Translogisti, Stampede Cap(DVR)and Punjab Alkalies hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Orient Press, Conart Engg, RSD Finance, ASM Tech and Sindhu Trade touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
