James Cameron is now working on Avatar 3, which is scheduled for release in 2025, after the huge success of Avatar: Way of the Water in 2022. He has already attested to Avatar 4 and Avatar 5. Cameron spoke candidly about the highly regarded worldwide smash RRR at the 51st Saturn Awards.

Cameron was questioned about his impressions of meeting SS rajamouli in the previous year and complimenting him on his outstanding work on RRR. "At that moment, I was being truthful with him. james cameron remarked, "I thought it was a spectacular work, and it was great to see indian cinema bursting onto the world stage."

 In the same interview, cameron talked about his intentions for the avatar follow-ups, saying he wanted to turn the show into a Star Wars- or Star Trek-like franchise. "We're fully written to movie five, and I have ideas for six and seven, but at that point I'll probably be passing the reins,” he said.
