Lankering: Correlation between fluoride and low IQ

Fluoride went trial on Jan. 31. The Fluoride Action Network (FAN) is suing the EPA for violating the Toxic Substance Act. This is a lawsuit in federal court that seeks to prohibit municipalities from adding fluoride to the drinking water.

The basis of this lawsuit is based on research that is demonstrating that there is a threat to developing brains. This takes this substance out of the realm of oral health and places it in the field of neurotoxicity.

New research includes a seven-year review by the National Toxicology Program (NTP). Specifically, NTP found that 52 of 55 studies demonstrated a lowered IQ in children. Eighteen studies, rated of the highest quality, reported the correlation between fluoride and lowered IQ. In the review, there was not a safe exposure level associated with fluoride in the water. It is obvious that fluoride interferes with brain function. In addition, there are studies, which indicate that other tissues negatively affected include bone and the thyroid.

Europe has negligible fluoride, and their people’s teeth are good.

The trial revealed that data suppression has existed since the 1940s and 1950s. Science research demonstrated dangers, but propaganda promoted fluoride in the water. Special interests and captured agencies profit at the expense of our health.

There are ways for people to get fluoride if they choose to. It has been shown that topical application works best.

Why does Aspen and Snowmass Village insist on taking the risk of endangering people with this unnecessary practice?
