Microsoft could launch new high-end and handheld Xbox gaming consoles

According to MAGG from XNC Podcast, Microsoft is planning to launch two Xbox gaming consoles, a high-end gaming console similar to the Xbox Series X and a portable handheld gaming console that is also dockable, similar to the Nintendo Switch or the Steam Deck. Furthermore, he says that Microsoft could launch the two gaming consoles by the end of 2026.

Lately, there have been rumors that Microsoft is planning to bring some of the games that are currently exclusive to Xbox, including Gear of War, Hellblade 2, and Starfield, to Sony PlayStation in the near future. Those rumors gave rise to the notion that Microsoft might exit the console business soon as not many people will buy an Xbox once the company releases the games that are exclusive to Xbox on other platforms. The wording of a recent post from the Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, on X/Twitter, didn’t help the issue either.

However, considering the latest news from MAGG, Microsoft doesn’t seem to be planning to leave the console market anytime soon. Recently, Jez Corden from Windows Central also reported that Microsoft had given the green light for the development of several Xbox products, which further suggests that Microsoft isn’t leaving the console market anytime soon. However, we can’t say anything for sure until the company makes an official announcement.
