Marion County Clerk and Deputy County Clerk are sworn in

Former Marion County Clerk Tina Spencer swears in new Marion County Clerk Ashley Herpich on Wednesday, Jan. 31 in the Marion County Courthouse.

On Wednesday, Jan. 31, family, friends and the public attended a swearing-in ceremony for newly voted-in Marion County Clerk Ashley Herpich. Herpich replaced former clerk Tina Spencer who was recently hired as the Marion County Administrator and began her new position on Thursday, Feb. 1.

After Herpich was sworn in by Spencer, she swore in her Deputy County Clerk Michelle Looper who also serves as Election Clerk for the Marion County Clerk’s Office.

A reception followed the brief swearing-in ceremony.
